Will King, licensed contractor. Custom home builder Florence, AL. Owner of High Cotton Homes

Will was born and raised in Leighton, AL. After graduating from Muscle Shoals High School, he moved to Birmingham and married his wife, Brooke. In 2007, he became a professional firefighter/ paramedic and went on to graduate from Athens State University with a Bachelors in Public Safety and Health Administration.  In 2011, Will renovated and flipped a home in Birmingham and was able to find success with several more over the next few years. This early remodeling gave him a unique insight into building structure and the "what not to do's" in homes. In 2013, he and Brooke moved back to Tuscumbia where he trained to be an appraiser, but he truly loved the building and structural side of homes. Early in 2016, Will observed the need for current building science in the Shoals area, so he completed the training to become a licensed home builder and formed High Cotton Homes. Will made the incredibly tough decision to leave Decatur Fire and Rescue in March of 2018 and focus on growing High Cotton Homes. Will is the 2021 Vice President of the Shoals Home Builders Association and has two daughters that keep him busy in his off time.

Amie VanDeRostyne interior designer at High Cotton Homes

Amie was born and raised in Moline, Illinois. She graduated in 2012 with her degree in Interior Design and has spent her career working in several facets of the design and construction industry. Amie brings experience in both new construction and remodeling. Since graduation, she has worked in multiproduct showrooms concentrating on residential projects, helping clients from concept to completion. While doing this, Amie was able to gain experience in cabinetry design, flooring, lighting, project management and material selection. In 2018 she moved to Iowa City, Iowa and began working for a custom homebuilder. This allowed Amie to gain experience with new construction homes and the building process. While Amie spent her time building her career in the midwest, she always had a passion to explore other markets and areas. Amie moved from Iowa to Alabama and joined High Cotton in June of 2020. Amie loves sports and attending or watching Chicago Cubs baseball and Iowa Hawkeyes football games. Her family is incredibly important to her, and she enjoys connecting with people and spending time with her puppy Milo.
